So we have all been there ... we have all done that . Twitter, Plurk, Qaiku et al. Your friends are on it. Your celeb crush is on it. everyone is on it. Heck even ISIS is on it ! . The catch though is : you have to first get on it to do anything on it. It starts with downloading the app or getting on their site. Creating a user name, a password , keying in your email, entering a capcha (this funny looking little word or number or both) and hitting submit. You then have to login to your mail, confirm your identity and then get back to the site / app and write a line of text in less than 141 characters.
You save some time if you have already got a login id . In that case you start your app or get to their site, search for their handle , type in some text and submit it.
But what if you dont have an email because you are among the 80 % Indians who don't have one !. What if you are not on facebook or just don't want to activate your account !. What if you just want to quickly say a few words about the coffee you just had or a pizza you just dug into or maybe a grocery store you just ordered something from by phone ? What if i told you that everyone worth writing about already has a handle ? what if i told you that you have a handle too ? An identity that you had even before there was a mobile phone, even before there was the internet, even before there was Facebook and Google and Twitter and Hotmail and usa.net ?
Did u guess it ? its your phone number. now a days its probably a number which when called rings your phone in your pocket . This is the handle a certain WhatsApp used most intelligently to have an "easy" and "quick" and "no nonsense" entry into the world of communication !.
Yes , we are now going to use the same handle for something much more than just chatting... much more than just sending pictures and videos and files.
We are going to use it for writing ... about anyone... at any time... ANONYMOUSLY !
